Flip Train:
Overview Advantages Practical Application Drill Progression Construction & Design Care & Storage

1) Push hand platform into the water

3) Slide tail pipes under lane line

5) Connect to line with ball bungee

2) Allow platform and sweep to flood

4) Measure one arm span from wall

6) Attach other side directly across

Easy to Install

Just about as easy to use as a pace clock, FlipTrain is installed in just seconds. Holding the product by the sweep just under the float, push the front edge of the hand platform into the water and let it flood (takes about 3 sec.). Then lay the float down onto the water surface and have the swimmer you’re about to work with measure one arm span from the wall out to the center of the hand platform and hook it up to the lane line (as shown left). Note: if you are working with a group of swimmers, select a swimmer that represents the average height. With hand platforms 22 inches long, this easily allows for as much as a 1 foot disparity in swimmer height. Then connect the other side of the station directly across at the same distance from the wall.

Work Privately . . . or with Groups

FlipTrain is the perfect tool for one on one instruction or small to mid-sized groups, 4 to 5 swimmers per station.

1) Reach for top of sweep

3) Water drains from sweep . . .

5) Water also drains from tailpipes

2) Lift from the water

4) . . . and hand platform in seconds

6) Place in deck rack to protect

Uninstall and Store

When the training session is over, simply disconnect the ball bungee cords and push toward edge of pool tailpipes first so the top of the sweep can be reached by someone on deck. Hand platform, sweep and tailpipes will completely drain in about 5 seconds. Store in deck rack or nest both sides of the station as shown below and store in a safe place. Nested like this, a complete FlipTrain Station can be easily stored on shelf space with as little as 2 feet of depth. Note: one side of a FlipTrain Station weighs barely 5 lbs. Light enough for even the 7-8 yr. old swimmers to help install and uninstall.

Carry by top of Sweep

Anyone who first picks up FlipTrain is surprised by how light weight it is. One side of a Station only weighs 5 lbs. and it can be easily carried by even your younger swimmers. When carrying, it's best to hold in one of 2 ways . . . By grasping the top of the sweep just under the float or by putting over your shoulder as shown to the right. This is where the product will be most balanced in your hand and easiest to put into the water, take out of the water or place into the deck rack.
